MISSION
…”We are already undertaking all kinds of tasks to be done in this sense, and we see to make friendship with all of our brothers and sisters who have done these studies on earth as a religious obligation”…
Our primary goal is; make standards, conformity criteria and research studies on products and services, in particular food, to ensure that human beings are informed and awareness-raising activities are carried out. Parallel to this approach, we conduct research on national and international sites and organize panels, conferences and seminars on their results. We hope that all Muslims will be able to travel on a standard without regard to language, race or sect when called “halal” and this standard will be recognized by all Muslim countries and that products and services produced in compliance with this standard will be accepted and easily circulated in the international arena with one or several known signs.
We believe that the Islamic world is not deprived of knowledge in the age of knowledge, by only by this method. Fortunately, the subject matter has been the subject of joint meetings of the Islamic Countries and has been put forward by the name of “Islamic Countries Standards and Metrology Institute-SMIIC” and officially started in 2010. Since its foundation, the institution has been working on “general halal standards” and published its first standard in 2011 as OIC / SMIIC 1: 2011. The standard that has been continuously developed over time has now been made available to cover all products and services in nine subcategories. As representatives, branches and authorized organizations in foreign countries, we accept SMIIC standards as guidelines for ourselves, and we hope that all of our brothers working in this area will concentrate on these standards and will use their energy to develop and unify these standards. We are already undertaking all kinds of tasks to be done in this sense, and we see to make friendship with all of our brothers and sisters who have done these studies on earth as a religious obligation.
